Being in Alignment

Today is Sunday -supposedly a day of rest,  or a day of leisure, and hopefully a day when people take the time to reflect on their actions and attitudes of the past week, so they can make positive adjustments for the coming week.

Imagine my surprise (not) when the first comments I saw this morning on Facebook were condemning and judgmental, and it was not about politics. It was about feelings. It was about placing responsibility for our feelings on the people we encounter while out in the world. They should have done this; they should have done that.

What is wrong with this picture?

Take responsibility for your own feelings. Control your reactions. Treat others as you would have them treat you, even if they do not reciprocate.

We must focus  on being in alignment with all that is good and wonderful in the cosmos, and that starts with each of us being good and wonderful, and wonderfully in alignment.

I know it’s cliche, but…

Be the change you wish to see in the world.

Did that bank teller brush you off?

Thank her anyway and tell her to have a good day.

Did you have to wait too long in the checkout line at the grocery store?

Next time, use that extra idle time to do some deep breathing or to come up with new ideas or solutions to something needing your attention. Or, take the time to speak to others in line with you. You might brighten their day.

By all means, do not blame the cashier. Instead, thank her for her service because I guarantee you that he or she is feeling the stress too.

Being in alignment is easy once you get the hang of it. Just ask the birds.

Be aware, be thoughtful, be kind, be helpful, be good, and be wonderful.

Have a glorious Sunday!
